Joe McEneaney holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Theoretical Physics. He also holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and a Higher Diploma in Education.
Joe McEneaney was presented with the Victor Graham Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in Applied Mathematics by Dr Maurice O’Reilly of the Institute of Numerical and Computational Analysis at UCD on Saturday, 28 November 2015.
He later served as Chairman of the Irish Applied Maths Teachers’ Association (IAMTA) from 2015 to 2019, playing a key role during the development of the new Applied Mathematics syllabus.
In addition, Joe worked with the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) for three years, delivering in-service training to new Applied Mathematics teachers and presenting numerous lectures at Applied Mathematics teachers’ conferences.

Meet Joe – Head Teacher at the Mathematical Science Centre
Joe serves as Head Teacher at the Mathematical Science Centre and brings over 25 years of experience teaching Maths and Applied Maths. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Theoretical Physics, as well as a teaching qualification from Trinity College Dublin.
Renowned for his practical, hands-on approach and consistent support, Joe has a strong passion for mathematics. His teaching is engaging and centred on the student, designed to make learning both enjoyable and motivating. Joe is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential and build lasting confidence in maths.
