Joe McEneaney receiving the Victor Graham Award for outstanding achievements in Applied Mathematics from Dr Maurice O’ Reilly, Institute of Numerical and Computational Analysis in UCD on Saturday 28th November, 2015.

Joe was also appointed as the Chairman of the Irish Applied Maths Teachers’ Association (IAMTA) from 2015 – 2019 during the development of the new Applied Maths Syllabus.

He also worked with the PDST for 3 years providing in-services courses to new teachers of Applied Mathematics and gave countless lectures to teachers at Applied Mathematics Teachers’ conferences.

Academic Qualifications

Meet Joe – Head Teacher at the Mathematical Science Centre

Joe is the Head Teacher at the Mathematical Science Centre and has been teaching Maths and Applied Maths for over 20 years. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Theoretical Physics, along with a teaching qualification from Trinity College Dublin.

Well known for his hands-on approach and unwavering support, Joe is deeply passionate about mathematics. His teaching style is engaging and student-focused, aiming to make learning both fun and inspiring. Joe’s mission is to motivate every student to reach their full potential and develop a lasting confidence in maths.
